The only proper way to transition from New York to London Fashion Week is through Cupcake Fashion Week.  Though it’s official run ended the 16^th of September, Covent Garden’s celebrating the new annual tradition fashionably late with this week’s Fashion Fete.  

 “We wanted to celebrate fashion, since Covent Garden has so much history with it, from the top designers to the high streets to even indie fashion,” said Lauren Lake, one of the organisers, “and we wanted to make it fun for everyone, whether they’re part of the official fashion week or not.” 

Saturday featured a dog fashion show, a fancy dress-up box, hook-a-duck, a coconut shy and a most fashionable cupcake competition.   

But if you prefer Prada over doggie sweaters, there’s also an Anna Wintour photo booth in which you can don your own bob wig and sunglasses and practice your best devil stare.   

Celebrations and store discounts are on until September 22.
