What’s the brief?

Dear designers,
What are we mere mortals to do, when you feed us with conflicting accounts at London Fashion Week? I’m about talking PANTS. Julian MacDonald, you are coaxing us into a world of outlandishly revealing under garments, which not so much cover the bottom, but show it off in the most flamboyant style. The duo that make up Eley Kishimoto guide us back towards wholesome days on the prairie, with their take on the classic white knickerbockers, frills and all. So, here we are, caught in between our raunchy and innocent selves – but wait, is this not precisely the everyday dilemma we face? In the hope of solving this fashion conundrum we should remember one crucial point – I know this is Spring/Summer ‘10 but thou shall not forget, in ‘real time’ summer is long gone and not to return any time soon. I’m going with the knickerbocker!
